Scheduled reports and stock control
Our POS solutions allow you to schedule reports to be printed or emailed at specific dates and times. These reports are highly customisable and easy to use. Financial data, product sales, hourly sales, trend reports and stock reports are just some of the reports available to you with our system. Idealpos can also interface with an online reporting system to provide up-to-date key performance indicators across any number of sites.
Stock control is available as standard in the Idealpos system. The Stock control feature allows you to manage the inventory of stock including write-offs and stock transfers, generate purchase orders and set recommendations for re-orders levels. To assist with this, Idealpos can also support an iPhone or iPad app that allows you mobile stock management tools.
Barcode scanning and label printing
Barcodes are used in our Idealpos solution for the fast entry of stock items into the sales screen using a barcode scanner, or for stock control. Scanning can also be used on customer accounts for membership cards, accounts and for employees to log a sale. Barcodes can be used when printed on gift vouchers, credit notes, receipts and coupons.
Barcodes are fast and secure, and when used in conjunction with label printing and our internal barcode creation ability, you can achieve great results every time.
Assett’s Idealpos can create labels that can be printed out onto various mediums for use with barcode scanners. Idealpos can add a scancode to all stock items automatically if required. Labels are most useful in being able to add barcodes to items that originally don’t come with them as standard. This allows the stock items to be scanned quickly during a sale and also to be scanned easily during a stocktake.
Laybys are used to give the customer a specified time period to pay off a purchase before taking the goods home. The customer can make a deposit on the item which will then be held in storage by the retailer until the goods have been paid off, or the customer cancels the layby.
Laybys are most commonly used in the retail sector for non-perishable goods. You have the ability to set the length of time customers can leave an item on layby, and also how much deposit is required.
When items are put on layby, the stock level for that item is reduced and you can see which items are held in stock for sale and which items are held in stock on layby.
Credit notes are used for customers who have made a purchase but want to exchange an item. Instead of giving them a tender refund, you give the customer a credit note to the value of the returned goods to spend in your store.
Their details are stored in the Idealpos database and can be retrieved at any time if the customer has lost their receipt.
Idealpos supports almost all major interfaces to EFTPOS terminals in Australia. When you connect your EFTPOS devices to your POS system you eliminate a step where operator error could occur, as well as making processing electronic payments easier for your staff.
The EFTPOS machine will connect to the bank and return an approval response if the transaction is successful. This means that your staff can finalise the sale with the click of a button.
Gift vouchers can be sold through Idealpos and redeemed at a later date which you determine. Gift vouchers enable you to keep track of purchased vouchers in case of loss or theft. Gift vouchers can be linked to your custom stationery, gift cards or Idealpos can print the voucher from the receipt printer. Vouchers are tracked and monitored through Idealpos.
Each time a voucher is used, the amount of the sale will be deducted from the original voucher and a new voucher will be printed with the remaining balance. The expiry date will not change on the voucher unless it is edited by a clerk.
Our Idealpos system includes a range of customer loyalty features that can be customised to suit your requirements. These loyalty features can be set to only apply to certain patrons or members. You are also able to configure which of your POS terminals will host these features.
